Credit repair is not an overnight process. Most clients start seeing results within 30-45 days, but full credit restoration can take 3-6 months, depending on the complexity of your credit report. The credit bureaus are required to respond within 30 days of receiving a dispute.
Can you remove all negative items from my credit report?
We use legal and factual dispute methods to remove inaccurate, unverifiable, and outdated negative accounts. However, legitimate debts that are 100% accurate cannot be removed. Our goal is to ensure your credit report reflects only fair and verifiable information.
Will credit repair improve my credit score?
Yes, removing negative items and optimizing positive credit-building strategies can improve your score. However, the exact increase depends on your credit mix, payment history, and credit utilization. We also provide guidance on rebuilding your credit with positive trade lines.
Can you remove hard inquiries?
Yes, we can dispute unauthorized hard inquiries or inquiries that were pulled without your consent. However, inquiries that are tied to legitimate credit applications (such as a loan or credit card application) cannot be removed.
Will disputing negative items hurt my credit?
No, disputing inaccurate information does not negatively impact your credit score. In fact, removing errors and outdated accounts can improve your score over time. The only time your score may drop is if an account is removed that was helping your credit history (e.g., a long-standing account with late payments).
What happens if a dispute gets verified and the negative item is not removed?
If an account is "verified" by the credit bureau, we escalate the dispute using Method of Verification (MOV) requests, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) complaints, and legal escalation if necessary. If the bureaus cannot provide proper proof, they must remove the item.
